AIHEC & The Lumina Foundation Partnership in Student Success

We are excited to announce that on August 2019, American Indian Higher Education Consortium (AIHEC) and The Lumina Foundation have formed a great partnership to conduct research on the factors leading to the successful completion of post-secondary certificates and degrees by American Indians and Alaska Natives.

AIHEC is reviewing the literature about American Indian/Alaskan Native student success and challenges and we will be seeking input from the TCUs. We will be hosting focus groups through the interactive video program, Zoom. We will also develop working groups around three key student completion factors: 1) college readiness, 2) college access and college choice, and 3) college achievement.

We look forward to working with TCU/partner institution faculty, staff, students, alumni, and other stakeholders to discuss their understanding of student completion barriers, including best and evidence-based practices.

Look-out for updates every first Monday of the month!

No, this isn't actually my picture. I just haven't gotten around to updating this section. It's good to know that someone is reading every last word though. Thanks!
